Trust cinema Hadi Afrideh, the director of “Ars, Roud Khoroshan” says that Palestinian cinema is the best option for hosting the “Truth Cinema” festival.
Documentary maker Hadi Afrideh said about the right place to hold the upcoming festivals: I have nothing to say about the Fajr Festival because it has ignored documentary cinema for years and made it less local, but about the important “Cinema-Ghekrit” festival, it should be said that this festival It started a very good course in the beginning and was held in the Palestinian cinema.
He continued: Although this cinema had technical problems, it was a place that was located near the sidewalk and in direct interaction with the people. All over the world, a festival that is supposed to be cultural is not held in campuses and arcades. Unfortunately, we are losing city cinemas that had identity and memory. Old-looking cinemas that have a cultural function. Festivals like IDFA and the important festival held in Sao Paulo are held in old cinemas, but unfortunately we have become involved in the glamor of meaningless things and have come to cinemas inside campuses and shopping malls.
This documentary maker explained about the holding of the “Truth Cinema” festival in Charsu: One of the things that was fundamentally wrong was that we brought the “Truth Cinema” festival to a commercial place like Charsu. We should not have neglected the remaining important cinemas in Valiasr and elsewhere in Tehran all these years. I know that it is a very difficult task, but I believe that festivals like Tehran’s short film, “Cinema-Ghekrit” and animation should return to the old cinemas that have an identity.
He added: “They created problems for many of our friends in Charsu, and basically we have no relationship with them and they have no relationship with us.” We should not go there just because of a food court and halls inside one floor. The festival should be held in a cinema near the sidewalk so that the people who pass by will gather and ask the question, why are all these people gathered here? What event is taking place here? In all these last few years, the international guests who have come have only seen the hotel, the Golestan Palace, and the mobile shopping arcade. While they should have been among the people, this connection has been completely cut off.
In another part of his speech, Afrideh stated: Festivals should be returned to the streets and films should be screened for free in city centers and parks.
Hadi Afride in the end about “Ares; “Khoroshan River” (produced by the Center for the Development of Documentary, Experimental and Animated Cinema), which is a monograph about the people who live on both sides of the border along the Aras River, said: “Truth Cinema” festival is definitely the most important social event of documentary cinema and to some extent He also turns off the TV. We tried our best to be able to send this film to this year’s festival, but since the film was heavy and full of challenges in terms of editing, despite all our efforts, it did not make it to this year’s festival, and by God’s hope, we will send it to the festival next year. .
