According to public relations, the independent festival of documentary cinema will be held in its 13th edition as an academy to create a new experience in this field.
The works of applicants for participation in this festival, which will be held in the second half of 1403, will be evaluated and judged for the first time by members of the Academy of Iranian Documentary Cinema. The members of the Academy of Documentary Cinema of Iran are the elites and notables of the documentary cinema of Iran, the winners of statues and diplomas of honor in the previous editions of the Documentary Festival and the Grand Festival of Iranian Cinema in the field of documentary, the winners of the statues of prestigious international and domestic festivals such as Haqit, Fajr and short films in Tehran. The judges and selection boards of the different periods of the documentary festival are active and influential members of Sanuf with a membership history of more than 10 years and a number of cultural and artistic reference figures according to the statutes of the Academy of Documentary Cinema of Iran.
This arbitration is done in two stages; In the first stage, after reviewing and scoring the works by the members of the academy, the five selected documentaries in each of the fields of the festival will be selected and announced without any order. In the second stage, with the review and re-announcement of the vote by the academy members, the final winner in each field is selected from among the announced candidates of the first stage.
According to the announced call, the process of registration and receiving the works started on October 1, 1403 and ended on November 5. The closing ceremony of the 13th Independent Festival of Iranian Documentary Cinema will be held on March 9, 1403 in Tehran.
The award of the Independent Festival of Iranian Documentary Cinema, including the golden lion statue and plaque of honor, will be awarded to the winners of the following fields:
Best director of short documentary film
The best documentary short film production
The best director of a semi-length documentary film
The best production of a semi-length documentary film
The best director of a feature film
Best documentary feature film production
The best research in the field of documentary film
The best cinematography
The best editing
Best movie music
The best voice (which is awarded to the sound engineer and (or) sound engineer of the work at the discretion of the Academy members)
All those accepted in the first stage will be awarded an official certificate of selection at the independent festival of Iranian documentary cinema.
