When filmmaking went dark…
Kimiaei wrote about his exhibition: “The awareness of the artist is spontaneously borrowed from imagination and commitment. The artist himself is the reaction of the mind to the external world. Literature and poetry, music, painting, cinema, theater, architecture, etc. are neighbors. The artist is not separated from the arts.
Film making went dark in these years, painting was stored in me from my youth, I painted.
A friend who does not tolerate is not a friend (Saadi)
These days I’m afraid to even believe the world, but I know that love is healing. I may not be a painter, but I paint.”
Alchemy’s canvas is his life and experiences
About Masoud Kimiaei’s paintings, Ali Khaleq, the painter and curator of the “Living Bodies” exhibition, told Mehr reporter: Kimiaei’s canvas, his life and his pen are experiences that are imprinted on it. He is full of life and full of enthusiasm and a human being with a life full of ups and downs.
He considered Kimiaei to be a firm but gentle mountain and said: He does not only teach cinema, but also teaches how to live. Indeed, the word “master” is his grace. He loves life, people, those around him, living, listening to music, arranging and playing it, and he doesn’t hesitate to create. He literally seizes every moment. He is a symbol of effort and hope, thoughtful and alert to all the events around him.
The creator considered alchemy’s works independent of style and technique and said: I thought he was the same as his works, although all those works are great and valuable, but in the end he is beyond all of them.
The “Living Bodies” exhibition is open until December 20th in the third gallery at the address of Karim Khan Zand St., between Iranshahr and Mahshahr, number 148.
