“Seven hills” protestors at the festival of truth + teaser cinema

Trust cinema – According to Isna. In the city of Shush, hundreds of workers of Haftpeh Sugarcane Agriculture and Industry Company went on strike for the first time in December 2016 in protest of the long-term non-payment of their wages. Then these strikes were repeated in January.

In the previous 13 months, these workers had received their wages on time for only five months. Finally, these strikes were repeated in 2017.

Now, the 18th International Film Festival of Truth wants to show the reason for these protests and the protest model of Haft Tepe workers with the documentary film “Sengar Haft Tepe”.

In an interview with ISNA about the main topic of this documentary, Ali Zuhiri, the director of the documentary “Seven Hills”, said: Shush city in Khuzestan province has a historical area called “Seven Hills”, which was among the most valuable lands in the country before the Islamic revolution. has gone The quality of the land makes the largest sugar production company with an area of 24,000 meters built in this area.

He continued: This company has almost supplied the country’s need for sugar until today. In this documentary, we show the process of establishing this factory until the nineties, when this factory was handed over to the private sector as a loss. There is an ambiguity in this assignment that we tried to show.

This documentary maker pointed out: In this transfer to the private sector, nothing good will happen to the workers and the factory will go bankrupt. The important thing about this company is that all its workers are the children of those who started working in this factory from the beginning. This caused them to be prejudiced against this factory.

Zohiri reminded: “After introducing the Haftepe factory and handing it over to the private sector, we will address the protests of the Haftepe workers.” In fact, the main stream of our documentary starts here, where we want to show the method and manner of their protest.

He added: The protest model of the Haftpeh workers is in a form that happens without any violent confrontation and even they protest in a way that the hostile media cannot surf on it. Even if someone deviates from them on the path of protest, they remove him. We tried to present this protest model of Haftpeh workers as a proper protest model.

This documentary maker stated: During these protests, 8 workers are behind the planning of the protests, who will make effective protests with a proper technique so that this factory can be saved.

Zohiri stated that the Haft Tepe trench shows the right model of making demands, and stated: In the process of producing this documentary film, we had almost three months of research on our agenda, the filming lasted for 14 days, and most of our time was spent on editing, correcting colors and music. became.

He said: “Sangar Haft Tepe” documentary is my fourth documentary with the same atmosphere. Basically, the production of this kind of documentaries is not treated well, and for this reason, they try to have objections to our project, but since we do not listen, we made this documentary with its difficulties.

This documentary maker explained why he chose “Sangar Haft-Tepe” as the name of this documentary: during the war, when the alarm sounded, the people of Haft-Tepe took refuge in the bunker built by the Haft-Tepe sugarcane company to avoid the bombing. be; Today, the war is over, but that bastion is still alive, and during the protests of the workers of this factory, it becomes a place for lawsuits and grievances. For this reason, we chose “Senger Haftpeh” as the name of this documentary.

In the end, Zuhiri said: Protesting anywhere in the world costs money, but in the Islamic Republic of Iran, protesting gives the right answer, for this reason, if anyone wants a proper model of protest, he should refer to Haft Tepe workers, and anyone who is desperate to protest should watch the documentary “Sangar Haft Tepe”.
