Why can’t women be the lead roles in comedy movies?

Trust cinema Saeed Artman; Among the prerequisite components in order to rise to the position of Masdari in the world of acting, in addition to internal orientation, one should have artistic ability, level of knowledge, social status in order to take advantage of relationships in order to obtain influential roles in films, suitable personality traits for the position of an artist, a little goodwill. and listed physics and appearance.

The accumulation of these elements appears in the fortunes of few students. And according to the masculine atmosphere of cinema, people with these conditions, if they are men, apparently have a greater chance to succeed in cinema than women.
In world cinema, there are many first-rate films with different sub-genres of crime, history, horror, and mystery in which the main character is a woman.

And this process has continued since the early years of the invention of cinema until today. That this diversity in playing the role of enduring characters in history shows the artistry of women in cinema and the alignment and lack of difference in artistic abilities between them and male actors.
In comedy cinema, however, the story is a little different, and men have the first say in the money-making genre of cinema. Throughout the history of world cinema, it is difficult to find a female comedian equal to the male stars of comedy movies. A woman who, like Chaplin, Jerry Lewis and Jim Carrey, even their names put a smile on the face of the audience. The presence of women in important comedy works has often been as a supporting role.

Of course, in the series produced by different companies in the world, there are many works in which the main role is played by a woman, but the series cannot be compared to the film for three reasons, firstly, due to the presence of more main characters in the series, which requires a long time. It makes them benefit from the presence of more actors than in the cinema (obviously, low-character and studio series like Friends are not included in this category), secondly, in general, many professional cinema audiences do not follow television and platform series. And thirdly, the lower quality of the artistic quality of the series compared to the movie. Therefore, the general atmosphere and audience of cinema is very different from the atmosphere of serialization.

Comedy is synonymous with exaggeration. An exaggeration of stupidity like the everyday but off-balance behavior of Laurel and Hardy, an exaggeration of a mocking walk like Chaplin, an exaggeration of simplicity and purity like many of Woody Allen’s roles, an exaggeration of good luck like Buster Keaton. Film production companies around the world produce films according to the choices and tastes of the audience. (Of course, the important companies themselves play an irreplaceable role in shaping the tastes of the moviegoers) If the audience would have welcomed the comedy movies in which Jabra, even in its highest form, has signs of sensuality, with women acting, now the world cinema would be full of female actors. Comedians who alone carry the humor of a blockbuster movie. But apart from exceptional cases, this is not the case.

Since the beginning of the creation of existence, women have always had a high and praiseworthy position in human relations, and maintaining dignity, expressing love, expressing devotion and poetry are among the obvious ways of treating them by men of different societies. The prominent position of motherhood in the mythological legends and the guidelines of different human religions, the elegance and glory of human beauty and the loving genetic dispositions towards various surrounding issues compared to men, are among the main reasons that compel man to look at the high rank of women in society. does Certainly, the mentioned reasons are not unaffected by the lack of reception and acceptance of female comedians by cinema audiences.

In Iranian comedy cinema, just like in world cinema, men are the main rulers of comedy cinema. Men in Iranian comedy cinema wear loud clothes, sing, dance, make many sexual jokes, act drunk and intoxicated (scenes of cheating and drug use). They are not allowed to broadcast and usually the scenes after that are shown) and a number of other such behaviors that women will certainly never be allowed to act in those conditions due to the restrictions of the country’s current filmmaking laws. Women in Iranian society are constantly being cared for and supported by men. An instinctive behavior that every normal Iranian man shows generosity towards the women of his family and even strangers. Iranian female comedians are also known more with TV series.

In the comedy cinema of Iran, the names of many funny women can be listed, but it is difficult to find an actress whose name will attract the audience of comedies to cinema halls. Maybe if a little of these restrictions were removed, a better and more attractive composition for the audience would be formed from the presence of male and female actors in comedy cinema.
