According to the public relations of the Iranian Documentary Makers Association, a series of joint meetings of the Iranian Cinema Documentary Makers Association and the Iranian Sociological Association, titled “Documentary Cinema: Another View” will be held with the aim of introducing documentary cinema, and discussing works from the perspective of society and people today. Cinematographers, thinkers and experts will talk about documentary cinema in these meetings.
In the first session of this event, the documentary “School in Children’s Hands” will be shown on Sunday, January 16, at 7:00 PM in the opposite building, and then the film will be discussed in the presence of director Ard Zand and Dr. Parviz Piran.
“The School in the Hands of the Children” is about a public middle school in the north of Tehran, which, after passing the election process, hands over all the responsibilities of the school to the students for two days. This film shows the efforts and behavior of students to hold different positions and how they behave after their selection.
Attendance at these meetings is free for those interested.
