“Iranian cinema” has long been “deverted” from its original path

cinema trust Hassan Zahedi, the veteran sound engineer of Iranian cinema, talked about the exclusivity of producers and the use of a small number of cinema people in projects, and on the other hand, the unemployment of a wide range of cinematographers.

This veteran cinematographer and winner of 4 Crystal Simorghs from the Fajr Film Festival said in a conversation with Cinemapress: “If today we are witnessing inferior productions in the cinema, or we are seeing events such as monopolization, etc. that you are asking about, it is because during the year Recently, the producers who loved the art of cinema and were ready to sacrifice everything for the love of their work are no longer present in the cinema. Where are those who followed cinema with love and never sought money laundering and wealth accumulation?

He stated that the concerned and experienced producers are often underemployed or unemployed and clarified: Producers like Harun Yeshayai, Seyyedjamal Sadatian and the like who produced brilliant works are underemployed or completely unemployed these days due to some reasons. And one of the reasons for this is the lack of good stories. But on the other hand, some producers are willing to produce any work; Officially, money has been received that is not known for whom and from where it entered the cinema, and for this reason, this money is spent on the production of Nazal works.

The sound engineer of the films “Tenants” and “Familiar Land” described the commercialization of cinema as dangerous and noted: Iranian cinema has long deviated from its original path; It is true that economy is important in cinema, but we should not consider the place of culture and art so unimportant and unimportant and indulge in the production of any film. It is very bitter that some of the people behind the scenes of the cinema are forced to interfere in the production of these films despite their desire to ensure their minimum livelihood, but the filmmakers either prefer not to work at any cost and in any work. Or they don’t work at all.

At the end of this conversation, Zahedi emphasized: In any case, based on my experience in the cinema and the conditions I see these days, I cannot have hope for the improvement of the cinema situation in our country, and I think that unfortunately the situation will get worse and this The incident is very bitter. I think that if the law-making bodies and policy-makers of cinema want and are concerned about it, they might be able to think of a plan to improve the situation of cinema a little and while distancing themselves from exclusivity in terms of theme and content, we can see better movies in the cinema. .
