Cinema As I decided to write about street artists, I remembered the Taleghani metro artist. Late last summer, I saw him sitting on the stairs next to the subway and lowering his head. There were several paintings of flowers and face in front of him. Unlike all sellers, it did not advertise. He doesn’t even raise his head. He was looking at the ground, as if he saw the distant past in the street paving grooves, when he was young and healthy in his work, when he was designing the posters of the best films or depicting the face of Iranian and world actors. I stood beside him and watched the pictures of the colorful and vibrant pots he had drawn. His paintings had a special spirit and vitality.

I didn’t know how much the illustrator had endured so much color and beauty in his years of life; The bitterness and suffering that was not of life but of the shortcomings and conscientiousness of the authorities.

He raised his head and said, “I drew all this” and took two paintings under the sheets, one of Vincent’s van Gogh portrait and the other for his sunflower copy plan. He repeated “I drew myself”. He was hard to get up, stood and told me.

He was Manouchehr Ghazizadeh, born in Sardasht and one of the country’s graphic and painting pioneers who now sell on the street and subway entrance. “I learned the painting self -tutorial,” she says. I experienced this art empirically, and because of my talent, I got into the painting of cinemas and the poster design of the movie. God knows how many posters and cinema posters, I don’t remember myself. I just know that I painted many of the domestic and foreign artists in the big cut to go to the cinema by seeing their beloved artists; The artists who once wished to see their supporters and now are a regret for young people interested in cinema art. Iranian cinema elders such as Mohammad Ali Fardin, Nasser Malek Motiei, Reza Bek Imanvardi, etc. also foreign actors like John Wayne, Marlon Brando, etc., each being myth and immortal. I have drawn these greats to come to the cinema and see them in their great screenings. Even in films like “Papion” that have survived in the history of cinema, I did a poster and cinema design.

At that time we were doing it, but after the revolution we separated and I only continued to work. My last job was the design of the poster for the late Iraj Qaderi. Slowly, the printing industry entered the profession and we became unemployed.

I worked for street painting for a while, and even the design and implementation of the American Embassy wall painting is my job. The day I was drawing that design, I couldn’t believe it would be when I would sit next to that wall and get a peddler. I was also involved in the tiles under the Bridge of Resalat. I got sick when I couldn’t work. I love my work. I paint first for my love, then money. “

“I went to the cinema house after it was unemployed, but in response to years of trouble I said, we said that our number (poster painters) was low and we could not become a member of the cinema,” says the veteran painter. There must be at least fifty members to join the cinema, but we were five. When I couldn’t work, I got nervous discomfort and was hospitalized for a while.

I have two brothers who lost one and the other lives in France and is a professor at the Sorbonne, painting. I went to France after being unemployed and lived with my brother for two years. I had everything there, I had all the amenities, but I was missing for Iran and the smell of soil, and I couldn’t stand it.

I spent the hard time continuing, in fact I paid my love for difficult conditions. After coming to Iran, I still did the only thing I knew (painting). I would love to have painting classes, but the cost was high and I gave up. Finally, I worked with street painting groups, until I couldn’t stand on the scaffold until my age. At that time, I started selling and sold my paintings that are my love. My work is not expensive but I don’t have much customer.

At the opening ceremony of the 31st Fajr Film Festival, I and two of my colleagues were honored. We were appreciated for our activities in the cinema, because before the printing industry was today, my colleagues and I were killing all the posters of the cinema, but the life was not long. Appreciation is good, but not enough to spend life. Like other people, we have other needs such as painkillers, food and treatment. »
