Cinema Trust Hassan Lotfi wrote in the Etemad newspaper: Whether Saeed Rousta and Jafar Panahi films have been accepted at the Cannes Festival, and in the past where Kiarostami, Farhadi, Jafar Panahi, Rasoulov and my beloved cake makers have received awards from the world’s prestigious film festivals.
Not that politics has not been opened to some festivals (isn’t our Fajr Film Festival itself?) But this anti -entry and entry are sometimes part of the festival, and therefore in favor of filmmakers who are limited.
The benefit that is not aligned with the belief and desire of the filmmaker in a different way. My word is general and not just the filmmakers inside Iran. At various festivals, a long list can be found, with the names of prominent films being featured in their own country with censorship, naggamation. That’s why any festival can be a doorway for some of the filmmakers who have been in their country. Even the Fajr International Festival, when it is filmed from other countries, provides such opportunities for some.
Some who have made a movie to watch some people. Of course, there is no doubt that most filmmakers and artists are eager to look at their compatriots. It is in this case that the filmmaker feels better. But if it is not possible for such a play or a communication, then it will seek to bring its effect to the foreign audience. He may like the festival in this way and after receiving the award and even gradually seeing the patriotic audience, and so on, but he is not that makes such a change. The change was made by others with restrictions.
Now, if the decision makers change (for example, rural and refugee to their restrictions) then the new restrictions will not remain silent. I wrote these to say that I am glad that the world has festivals and festivals that reduce the shortness of breath and the closure of the filmmakers’ hands and feet.
