Qazvin Regional Youth Cinema Festival discovers new talents
Hossein Barati, Director General of Islamic Guidance of Qazvin province, stated in the opening ceremony: The approach of this festival is to discover new talents and it intends to introduce young cinema professionals, and I hope we will be successful in this sector as well.
Barati said: We hope that during this festival we can play an effective role in introducing Qazvin as a cultural and touristic destination. We believe that bringing festivals to the provinces is a worthy action and the gathering of professional film and photo artists of the country is a happy event that we are witnessing in Qazvin these days.
Regarding introducing Qazvin as much as possible in this festival, he stated: In this festival, there is a special day for photographers, which is named as Qazvin Day, and we hope we can play a role in introducing Qazvin.
Brati added: “Hosting an important festival like the 70th regional festival of young cinema in Qazvin is one of the strengths of the new management’s measures.”
The Director General of Culture and Islamic Guidance of the province also expressed his hope that this festival will be able to attract the opinion of the chosen ones as well as the judges.

Abbas Kazemi, political security deputy of Qazvin province, said in this ceremony: Qazvin regional youth cinema festival is an opportunity to exchange and interact experiences between figures in the field of film and photography. This festival is a significant event from the point of view that we can have an opportunity to introduce the faces of the province.
The deputy governor of Qazvin continued: What we are witnessing in Qazvin these days is a memorable action in the field of culture and art. This festival, which is being held with the efforts of officials at various levels and Qazvin Youth Cinema Association, can lead to the growth and excellence of the good capacities of the province.
While emphasizing that this festival is an opportunity to exchange and interact between the experiences of people in the field of film and photography, Kazemi continued: We have great funds among artists in the country and we should pay attention to this field as well. We must find the knowledge and ability of these artists for our artistic capacities.
The political and security deputy of the province noted: We should not be satisfied with the current situation, but we should be able to make the 70th festival a stepping stone for the next festivals and use its various capacities.
Also, during this festival, a photo exhibition of selected works was opened. In this exhibition, 32 photos and three sets of photos of the artists of the provinces present in this festival are displayed and it hosts the interested parties for three days until the end of the festival.
It should be mentioned that 99 photographers and short film makers from Gilan, Hamedan, Yazd, Bushehr, Hormozgan, Markazi, Kohkiloye and Boyer Ahmad, Fars, Qazvin and Tehran provinces participated in this festival and the closing of this festival will be held on Friday 30th of Shahrivar.
The 70th Regional Festival of Qazvin-Razhia Youth Cinema will be held from 27 to 30 September 1403, hosted by the Iranian Youth Cinema Association-Qazvin Office.
