An American rapper praised Asghar Farhadi’s films.
This singer from New York says: “I saw the movie “A Rare Separation from Simin” in the movie theater because it had achievements and I think it was nominated for an Oscar. And then The Salesman) – both of these movies were interesting to me at the time because they were supposed to be thrillers, but they were just about people. What in his films connected with me and still does – or even [دیوید] Cronenberg, which I liked before – is that the works are captivating but also full of meaning; Not only the sense, but behind that sense there is thought.”
The rapper continues: “It’s not that Farhadi’s films are clever – they’re brilliant. But the first thing that comes to mind is how these humans deal with human problems, and how they deal with personality. My favorite movies are “Syrian Wednesday” and “About Ellie”. The trailer format of both is more than ‘breakup’ and ‘salesman’, and although they are almost genre films, they are above all about people trying to come to terms with an environment.”
He praises the sound design of “Syrian Wednesday” and says that fireworks become an “unpredictable and surprising” element alongside human relationships, and the sound of explosions “represents the sense of a human being who goes through chaos and fights for survival and communicates with others.” transmits
The rapper’s new album titled “Your devotion, guess who?” (Love, Guess Who) is released on November 1.
