Cinema The referees of the Iranian Critics and Writers Association awarded their prize to Rasool Sadr Ali, the director of the film “Call me beautiful”.
The jury of the Critics Association was comprised of Mohsen Big Agha, Reyhaneh Abdollahi, Bahman Abdollahi, Amin Mobini, Sufia Nasrollahi, Saeed Hashemzadeh and Abbas Yari.
The judgment of the Iranian Critics and Writers’ Association has been completely independent at the Fajr Film Festival.
The referees’ statement is as follows:
“The Critics Association, after a few years of interruption, decided that the Fajr Film Festival, in the not -so -distant years, re -nominate the Fajr Film Festival’s selected film from the perspective of the Fajr Film Festival. Obviously, this delegation announces their views that it is not necessarily the position of all the esteemed members of the Critics Association. But it is necessary to mention a few things about this year’s Fajr Film Festival as members of the Iranian Cinema Critics Association:
2) If we had ever said about the critical situation of Iranian cinema screening, now we have to say that the contagious disease of the vulgar comedies has also brought itself to the Fajr Film Festival as a showcase of Iranian cinema. At the Fajr Festival, the presence of this low -level comedy was unprecedented. Films that will find their own way to the golden cinemas, both Iranian cinema and the audience’s taste.
2) This volume of film produced by government agencies has been unprecedented since the early 1980s. Is it because of the financial situation or the cultural engineering of cinema? Whatever the result, the result is unfortunately not good. It seems that the goal was merely the production of the film and they didn’t have a qualitative observer!
2) All this insists on a large number of films at the festival. This year’s festival could have been held with half of these films. The other half is not only competent to attend the festival, but not even the quality of broadcast in the country’s cinemas. Especially that even the variety of films was low. This year the festivals and comedies took the festival’s breath.
2) Many of the films were at the best of the product of cinema technicians. Not a filmmaker and director. The filmmaker is the one who has a worldview about his work, his characters, his story, and even the form he chooses. These films were free from worldview. They didn’t even succeed in creating their own world.
2) It is unfortunate that we have been retreated in technical fields. There was a time at the festival to criticize the script. The screenplays that were not correct have had nothing to do with filming and editing, and even games.
2) Finally, Iranian cinema will be rescued with two or three contest films and two or three out -of -competition films. “Pierre Boy” Octa Brahni and “Roxana” Parviz Shahbazi were out of the race, and unfortunately Hamid Nematollah’s “Killer and Wild” was finally not allowed to show, so the referees could not give them points, but if Iranian cinema was to be re -released, the cinema was released. We need these movies.
Note that the jury of the Critics Association, looking at the general quality of films and cinema standards in drama, play, director and technical tips of “Beautiful Voice” by Rasool Sadr Aman as the Best Film Festival of Fajr Film Festival.
