Chicago Festival Award for the film Behtash Sanainiha and Maryam Moghadam; My favorite cake was actually the judges’ favorite cake


cinema trust “My Favorite Cake” co-produced by Behtash Sanaeiha and Maryam Moghadam won the Silver Hugo Award for the best film from the new directors competition section at the 60th Chicago International Film Festival.

The Chicago Film Festival is the oldest competitive film festival and one of the most important film festivals in the United States.

Part of the statement of the jury reads:

“Marym Moghadam and Behtash Sana’i skillfully interweave private life and politics with a satirical, romantic and litigious tone in their film. “My Beloved Cake” artistically expresses that it is possible to enjoy life, affection and love at any age and at any time. This movie is a powerful image of loneliness and coming together.

My favorite cake was really the favorite cake of the judges.

This is the 12th international award for this film. Gholamreza Mousavi is the producer of “My Favorite Cake” and Lily Farhadpour and Ismail Mehrabi are the main actors.
