Cinema Dr. Ruhollah Hosseini, Deputy Director of Cinema and Audiovisual Affairs in the Iranian newspaper, wrote:
Griffith, the famous American filmmaker and the creator of the birthday of a nation, once said, “The task I want to do is to make you visit” 1, another meaning is that the film, in other words, cinema, opens the eyes of the audience, and the eye is more than just.
In other words, we do not see things as we should. Art, and here is the cinema that opens our eyes to see what was hidden under the dust of habit and under the ancient reality. Therefore, it cannot be condemned on the cinema framework on the pretext that something is the same as everyday or repetitive reality.
It is important to note that the lack of this attention has caused trouble in our cinema. Of course, this has a long history and is not limited to today. However, in the movement of society towards the acceptance of the phenomena and requirements of the modern world, day by day, there is more challenge and conflict. So at the same time, the importance of design and discussion about it becomes more and more.
The fact is, whether in the film review councils, or in the words and opinions of the media and politics, the criticism of the films is generally ignored by the point that was designed, and this has caused misunderstanding and forms of the display system. In fact, when confronting the film, like an artistic object, it is forgotten that the work that has emerged in the form of social cinema can make the real essence of things more evident, regardless of the intentions of the filmmaker or the various readings that lead to the material and objective nature of these things. In other words, art, and here, the cinema, gives the credibility of what to show or not to show or not, give or not, give a specific picture of reality, and as a result, the audience will no longer face the same objective reality I saw in front of my eyes.
Certainly, cinema encounters us with the same things we see every day in front of or around us; But at the same time, it will make us see that things in another way, or better to say, in a different way, because the usual practical or profit dimension of those things that prevented us from seeing them.
As a result, we must admit that the events ahead and our surroundings can be present in cinema works, and we cannot prevent them from seeing them on the pretext that these events do not offer them, as we expected classical or modern art. As mentioned, the creator of the work has done his job by selecting those events or things and providing them with the opportunity to see them in another way. It only remains how to put those things and those events together in connection with other events inside and outside the text. This is another issue that can be addressed in another opportunity and in the evaluation of cinematic works from a technical and artistic perspective.
