cinema trust Hasan Lotfi wrote in Etemad newspaper: The names of the films entered into the competitive section of the 43rd Fajr Film Festival have changed. A change that, if we don’t hurry, will be determined on the days of the festival, good or bad.
But no! Good or bad, it takes time. It requires the passage of time and the impact of movies on the economy and art of cinema. But at a glance, the relatively large number of films (thirty-three films in the main section) indicates a return to the normal routine of filmmaking. (Does it? I wrote it, but I regretted it! The wounds of the soldier were covered, but not cured. The world of cinema lost some people.
They died, or voluntarily or voluntarily left the cinema circuit.) If it doesn’t have government support like the previous festival to show the conditions behind the films, it’s a good thing. Especially when we look at the list of filmmakers and see the names of thirteen people who made their first feature film. This means that the producers have shown a happy face to the newcomers. The only thing that remains is the quality of their works, which the history of recent years and the arrival of filmmakers such as Saeed Raushi, Nima Javidi, Mohsen Qaraei, etc., give hope to optimistic people. Of course, the absence of good filmmakers of different generations (Nasser Taqvai, Masoud Kimiaei, Asghar Farhadi, Majid Majidi, Ahmadreza Darwish, Saeed Raushi, Nima Javidi, etc.) is a cause for concern (both for those who see the glass half full and for those whose eyes Pi is the half-empty glass) Maybe these intentional and unintentional absences have made it harder to make predictions about the existing films and there is not much talk about the works.
There remains an expectation that will not last long considering the short time left until the start of the festival (Friday, the 12th of Bahman) and in a few days it will be clear that the new souls who have entered the Iranian cinema, like the youth of the seventies and later, have more courage and boldness than the generations before them. And along with this boldness, they have made films that are worth watching several times or not, after watching it once, you will appreciate his gift. I hope most of the movies are similar to the good movies of Iranian cinema. I don’t mean the subject and structure, I mostly look at the artistic and thematic values of the films.
