Cinema Alireza Samadi, director of the film “Unfinished Narrative of Sima”, released in cyberspace in Nowruz and before the release, said in a conversation with Mehr about the reason: I was also informed by a friend that the film has been illegally released online. I was on a trip when a friend sent me a movie link on the telegram channels. I quickly contacted the player’s office. They also followed up with the holidays and found that the YouTube Channel had been given to the YouTube channel through the Farabi Cinema Foundation.
He added: “For me, so far, the question is why a film that has not gone through its natural process reached a YouTube channel through Farabi.” I followed up and said it was wrong. Individual capital is gone and their only answer was that it was wrong! Unfortunately, then we arrived at the Nowruz holidays, and no one or the cinema organization that Farabi is in the following is still answered. The only thing we could do was the fast online screening of the film, which happened in collaboration with the Filimo Broadcasting Office and platform.
The director emphasized: “To date, I have not seen a person and an institution, but as you know, the Farabi Cinema Foundation still does not have the CEO, and I basically do not know who should go to this situation.”
Samadi said about the percentage of the Farabi Cinema Foundation’s ownership in the film “Unfinished Sima”: The Farabi Cinema Foundation owns 2 % of the film, and the rest of the film has been difficult. I made my two previous films in the private sector. In the film “Unfinished Narrative of Sima” after two films, the Farabi Cinema Foundation was willing to share with me in investing.
He said about the negative impact of film broadcasting on its online screening: It is very important in the first 2-5 days, which unfortunately lost the opportunity with the release of “Unfinished Sima Narrative” before the release of online telegrams and satellite networks.
Samadi noted at the end: I have the smallest expectation of the authorities to interact better with someone who came from the private sector and partnered with the Farabi Foundation, at least where they know that the error has occurred inadvertently or intentionally. Such a deal with a film that has so far made dozens of international appearances and its release outside Iran will soon be a bit of a candidate at the Fajr Festival.
