Documentary Directing Minimum wage announcement; Tehran Short Film Studies Conference



The call for the 7th Tehran Short Film Studies Conference to Dabiri Ramtin Shahbazi, focused on “Adaptation: Theory and Action” was published.

The conference will be held to examine the various aspects of adaptation in short cinema, including free impressions, inspiration, influence and creative reconstruction, IRNA reports.

The deadline for submitting articles for this conference is June 1, and the results of the accepted abstracts will be announced on June 5.

Also, full articles should be submitted to the Secretariat by September 1, and the selected articles will be presented in the Conference Articles series by September 1.

The conference will be held on December 5 (Research Day) and will bring together researchers and filmmakers to establish a connection between theory and the practice of adaptation.

Documentary Directing Minimum Wage was announced

The Board of Directors of the Documentary Cinema Directors’ Guild announced at the first official meeting of the New Year due to economic conditions, rising costs and inflation in the country, which will also change the production of documentary film, the documentary film’s wages.

Short documentary production wages (up to 5 minutes) one hundred and eighty million tomans, semi -long documentary (up to 2 minutes) 400 million tomans and long documentary (up to 5 minutes) 500 million tomans.

The prices announced can vary up to 20 % depending on the type of documentary, single or collection, a species and hard work.

Also, the wages announced in this year’s inflationary conditions have been designated as a salary floor, which will be updated next year, given the new conditions.

Observing the date of publication of this notice is necessary for all members of the class and should be considered in the conclusion of new contracts.
