Many documentaries are disappointed with economic problems, but the documentary budget that has created this situation, Mohammad Hamidi Moghaddam, the secretary of the six -year -old film Film Festival in the last two periods, complained about the lack of funding in the documentary. But it does not seem to change the budget for the coming year, given the economic situation and the worrying prediction of the production situation. The Center for Development has tried to address social issues in addition to strategic and national issues such as “Rina”, as well as women, families and their issues in most of these products (Khalaj, Jiran, Torgi, Father, etc.). Important environmental films (including the last whale shark or a lover) have been another part of the center’s production.

Many critics believe that the center at the Film Festival has awarded its works and that the trustee of the festival must be changed. Although the Farabi Cinema Foundation is also responsible for the Fajr Film Festival and is held by the Iranian Youth Cinema Association, it can be said that separating the festival secretariat from institutions, if it does not increase costs. “The Cinema of the Honest” can also be part of the process.
Critics usually do not point out that the documentaries of the center have been seen even at the Fajr Film Festival in addition to the trade union events and the television documentary festival. This year, Simorgh Crystal Simorgh won the Best Director of the Forty -third Fajr Film Festival, and last year, Simorgh Crystal Simorgh and the Last Whale Shark received honorary diploma.
There is a lot of criticism of the issue of distribution and display of works in documentary cinema. The problem of budgets and the lack of extensive financial facilities should not be forgotten, but compared to the performance of effective institutions in the production of documentary cinema, the weight and credibility of the development center continues to be greater. The Center for Expansion, once born from the Iranian Youth Cinema Association, is now a dynamic institution that, despite its weaknesses and problems, plays the most important role in Iranian documentary cinema.
