According to the General Department of Public Relations of the Cinema Organization, Seyyed Abbas Salehi, Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Hossein Simai Saraf, Minister of Science, Research and Technology, Abdul Nasser Hemmati, Minister of Economy and Finance, Abdul Hossein Khosrupanah, Secretary of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution, Peyman Jabali, Head of the Broadcasting Organization, Mohammad Qomi, the head of the Islamic Propaganda Organization, Alireza Arafi, the director of seminaries all over the country, Seyed Behshid Hosseini, the head of the University of Arts, and Raed Faridzadeh, the head of the Cinema Organization, as legal and manouchehr members. Shahsawari, Mohammad Mahdi Asgarpour, Ali Dehkordi, Marzieh Broumand, Narges Abiyar, Masoud Naqshzadeh and Seyed Reza Mirkarimi were introduced as real members of the Iranian Cinema Council.
The verdict of the members states: “The mission of cinema is to promote cultural and social indicators and elevate a society that considers thought, art and knowledge as the alchemy of harmony and progress. Modern Iranian cinema should be a herald of Iranian-Islamic civilization, a promoter of social justice and a platform for its audience. In this regard, the presence of Mushfaq managers and knowledgeable elites in the policy-making field of this trend-setting institution can be the source of positive developments in the field of culture and art.
According to the decision of the Council of Ministers, Mohammadreza Aref is the president of the Iranian Cinema Council, Seyed Abbas Salehi is the vice president and Raed Faridzadeh is the secretary of this council.
The first meeting of the Cinema Council will be held today under the chairmanship of Mohammad Reza Aref, the first vice president.
