According to Screen, previously the Oscar committee of Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Morocco, Panama, Peru, Uruguay, Cambodia, Japan, Kyrgyzstan, Germany, Turkey, Iraq, Palestine, South Korea, Taiwan, Armenia, Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia , Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania and Ukraine have also announced their selected film to the Oscar Academy.

The deadline for sending works to compete in the best film category of the International Oscar is November 14, 2024 (November 24). The list of preliminary nominees for international Oscar contenders will be announced on December 17 (December 27) and the final nominees will be announced on January 17, 2025 (December 27).

Previously, countries such as Japan, Austria, Germany, Ireland, Iraq, Latvia, Lithuania, Palestine, Taiwan and Uruguay have introduced their selected films to the Academy.

Last year, Jonathan Glazer’s film “The Favorite Zone” won the Oscar for the best international film on behalf of British cinema.

The 96th Academy Awards will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2025 (March 11).
