Hamed Behdad became the mother of Naseruddin Shah


Trust cinema Hamed Behdad is the voice actress of the character of Mahd Alia, the mother of Naseruddin Shah Qajar, in the animated movie “Juliet and the King”.

Hamed Behdad voiced the voice of Naseruddin Shah Qajar’s mother instead of Mehd Alia in the animated movie “Juliet and Shah”. This animated film, written and directed by Ashkan Rahgozar and produced by Arman Rahgozar, is produced in the comedy-romantic and musical genre and deals with the historical events of the formation of Western theater in Iran.

Besides voicing this character, Behdad has also performed a song related to Mahd Alia. This is his second collaboration with Horakhsh Studio; Previously, he had voiced in the animated film “The Last Story” instead of the character of Zahhak.

In this animation, Behnam Jalilian is a composer and Maysam Yousefi is a lyricist. Also, Behzad Omrani, singer of Bemrani band, and Omid Nemati, singer of Palette band, are among the other voice actors of this work.

The story of “Juliet and the King” is about Julie, a young and novice theater actress who comes to Iran at the invitation of Naseruddin Shah to play the role of Juliet; But Shah’s plan for him is more than a simple performance.

Amin Ghazi as the dubbing manager and Sam Studio are working together to record the voices of the voice actors of this project. Nasrullah Madqalchi, a veteran voice actor, has voiced the role of Mirza Hossein Khan Sepahsalar, chancellor of Naseruddin Shah’s court.

This animated film was first introduced to the audience at the 2021 Fantasia International Festival and then at the 2022 Annecy International Animation Festival. Also, “Juliet and the King” was present in the Work in Progress section of the 2023 Annecy International Animation Festival.
