Moulai said: “The pre-production of the Tehran documentary film took time, and although I had conversations with sports veterans, former managers of this sports complex, architects and even Tehran experts during the research process, I decided from the very beginning that this film would be made without the presence of the interviewee in front of the camera. take place
Moulai said: The duration of this film is 50 minutes, and the initial idea of its production came to my mind in the winter of 2019 and I started the research process. Because I was a sports journalist for many years, I was familiar with this space. I was familiar with this sports complex. Many times in the interviews I had with people, this stadium was mentioned and many times I wrote reports about Amjadiyeh in the newspapers.
He emphasized: This stadium is very important from a historical point of view and has recorded many historical events in its heart. Great achievements such as the championship of the national team in the Asian Nations Cup, the championship of the Esteghlal team in the Asian Clubs Cup and the first qualification of the national team in the 1964 Tokyo Olympics have taken place in this stadium.
On the same ground, he added: Amjadiyeh Stadium is tied to the history of Tehran and imagining Tehran without it is unfair. Amjadieh is a part of Tehran’s birth certificate. This stadium is not the only origin of sports and due to holding urban gatherings, this complex is full of collective memories.
Moulai stated that there are many stories and legends about this stadium, especially in the first decade of its construction, and said: Of course, most of these words are not credible. For example, why was the name of this stadium Amjadiyeh? How did Amjadiyeh’s name get on the head of this stadium? Who were its architects and… In this film, we tried to narrate the history of this stadium based on authentic documents in detail, which is rarely heard.
Moulai said: “Finding the images to achieve what we wanted was a very difficult task and it took about three years.” It was very important for us to attract the audience and we wanted to create a work with attractive images. That’s why we spent a lot of time on this. Some of the images were taken from the Central Archives of Broadcasting, National Cinema of Iran, and some from the personal archives of individuals.
