

The latest film by Masoud Kimiaei, which was unveiled three years ago at the Fajr Film Festival, will host those interested in cinema and the works of this prominent Iranian filmmaker from today, Friday, December 16.
“Traitor” was made in February 1400 at the 40th Fajr Film Festival with a story about the nationalization of the oil industry and was ready for screening.
Kimiaei, who these days is hosting his audience with an exhibition of his paintings titled “Living Bodies” in the third gallery, has released his latest film with the presence of a group of prominent cinema actors such as Mehran Madiri, Amir Aghaei, Sara Bahrami, Panthea Bahram, Poulad Kimiaei, Andishe. It was made by Foladvand, Hamidreza Azarang, Sam Derakhshani, Elham Hamidi, Narges Mohammadi, Farhad Aish and Reza Yazdani.
This film, which was screened last year in Parvaneh, was screened at the Rotterdam festival in 1401, and then it was shown in a different version as a mini-series on the home theater network. This film was nominated for 6 awards at the 40th Fajr Festival and Crystal Simorgh won the best costume design.
“Treason” is a work in the genre of crime and history, in which Masoud Kimiaei made a political-historical event the main focus of his narrative and also had a passage to the story of the nationalization of the oil industry. Three years ago, in an interview with Hamshahri newspaper, he answered why he chose Mossadegh and the 30s in this film, saying: “Because everything we have is from Mossadegh and the oil that he nationalized.”
