Mohammad Khazaei’s text on the occasion of National Cinema Day is as follows:
“In the name of the creator of beauty
Cinema is one of the beautiful artistic manifestations of the truth-seeking and perfectionist mind of contemporary man; Magnificent, attractive and impressive art that has transformed the modern man with the elixir of consciousness and feeling, acceleration and evolutionary quality, and has a special place in the process of improving the ecosystem of today’s societies. This powerful miracle of new centuries has also influenced the course of human history.
Every society and country that uses the strategies and applications of this new art to achieve its goals has helped its growth and prosperity in various fields.
It is almost impossible to imagine a society without cinema in today’s world. As much as cinema has been able to reach growth and dynamism, it has had the ability to develop and expand the social, political, economic and cultural aspects of nations as well.
We should not ignore the unique power of cinema in uplifting a society because it can both educate people and transform societies due to its all-encompassing radius. In addition to that, the other side of cinema can be destructive and destructive, if we go to it without paying attention to the foundations of civilization, human foundations and moral system, it can be dangerous and harmful if national interests, human honor and decency and social justice are destroyed in its process. to ignore
Cinema in our country has a long and rich history. More than four decades after the Islamic revolution, great steps have been taken for its development and prosperity, and now, the fruit of this view is the valuable capital of our collective and shared memories of the warmth of the presence of cinema in the past few decades.
We believe that the most important wealth of Iranian cinema is its human capital, which has given it a double identity in the national and international arena, and therefore, Iranian cinema is considered one of the most important cinemas in the region and the world due to its brilliant record.
The downward course of Iranian cinema towards vulgarity in some periods has worried both cultural managers and experts and those who are concerned about this field and still, despite many refinements and developments, this concern exists in the elders and veterans of cinema and until reaching that cinema We are far from our ideal; As a small member of the big family of Iranian cinema, I believe that by strengthening the empathy and consensus formed in cinema, the cultural officials and the people, reaching that point is not far from reach.
After the Corona period and some social events, in these years, cinema has suffered severe crises and has taken a difficult path to restore it until today.
Reopening and rehabilitating the damaged body of cinema after Corona, sociology of cinema and recognition of tastes and genre orientation and standardization, activation of regional diplomacy, helping the growth of national, cultural and social cinema, recognizing paths of family reconciliation with cinema halls, taking a serious look with the aim of reviving the cinematic capacities of the provinces. Rejuvenation and respect for the principle of elite rotation, attention and emphasis on the position and real interests of trade unions, identifying and attracting investment for the development of infrastructure by using the capacities of the public, private and organizational sectors, paying attention to new technologies in the broadcasting and screening industry and the prosperity of the cinema economy. It is a corner of collective actions and achievements of cinema family in this period.
Undoubtedly, Iranian cinema could not have reached its current position without the support of all cinema people and its educated audience. Cinema is facing new horizons by crossing dangerous passages. Getting out of blockages, traditional and everyday notions requires the dedication and courage of activists in this field.
The world, with the technological revolution in the cinema industry, has entered new climates and the introduction of artificial intelligence and its empowerment in the cinema industry has brought this field with astonishing leaps. It is old and traditional, and in order to join the growth momentum of this industry, unanimity and avoiding intra-union conflicts is an inevitable necessity.
Cinema Day is an opportunity to remember the place of this popular art in the society. I congratulate the people of culture and art, especially the big family of cinema, on this national day.
