cinema trust Hasan Lotfi wrote in Etemad newspaper: I have a friend who has a sense of humor that whenever someone says something that he feels is out of satiety or lack of understanding, he says: It is not clear where someone (the speaker of baseless words) got this statement from. Did you get it?!
Then, with a smile on his face, he inflates his stomach and hits it and says: From here! I’m not like him! I mean in terms of patience and tolerance and simply passing by some words.
Those are the words that are supposed to be the foundation for the people and culture of a country with a culture like Iran. The worst is when the speaker is a member of the parliament that is supposed to legislate!
Imagine if one of these four-fifths ties cultural problems to women’s hair and imagines that he can solve 80% of the country’s cultural problems by implementing the law that has coercion behind him, what will happen. This gentleman must either not understand the problem or think that 80% is a very low percentage or… or he is among those who think that they are good and others are bad!
It remains like that ant that when it takes water, it imagines that it is taking water. Of course, this gentleman is not only not washed away by the water (of course, quickly), but the water pours into the anthill. And those ants, whose number is very, very large, but they don’t think like him. Such gentlemen think that the world is summed up in their world and what they think, and the way out of its problems is the problems that seem to them. Cinema, art, freedom, democracy, freedom, evangelism to those who listen to all the words and choose the best and… have no place in their world. I promise that the names of the great people of Iranian culture who are not similar to their beliefs (from the time Iran became Iran until today) will make their face and mood worse. Of course, this deterioration is not the same as the deterioration of the condition of those who do not think of elimination, death, etc. when they read the words of this gentleman. They think according to the wishes of the majority and… the majority who do not understand culture, know that they do not write culture with this “H”.
What do you think this man’s definition of culture is? What is the definition of percentage? What is the definition of… It’s good that after reading this man’s words, I participated in a meeting where Tanureh Dev’s book was unveiled and I met one of the best people of culture and art in this country (Kianush Ayari). He thought of a huge earthquake and this is known as a gentleman and a decision-maker about culture in thin Turkish in his own house and his associates!
