Trust cinemaParviz Shahbazi, during the master class “Glory of Cinema”, answered the question of one of the participants in the meeting who asked him how he tries to maintain the realistic atmosphere in his works considering the changing conditions and coverage of the society. I don’t make films without permission, and I don’t feel like making an underground film in terms of my age. Also, I don’t like to make a film for foreign countries to be told that I don’t like Tenkyu, so I’ll try to stay here and see the audience’s feedback.
He added: I believe that we should make movies that are suitable for everyone, and of course, in line with our own thoughts and ideas, not in the service of the audience’s capital and intellectual atmosphere. Many people are working in our own country.
Shahbazi also answered another question about how “Deep Breath” was once known as a popular film of the young generation and is known as a cult film, while the current young generation may not have seen the film at all. Did he himself watch this film? He said: I didn’t know that I was making “Deep Breath” in those years, but I made my work carefully. In my opinion, if someone sits down and says that I want to make a cult film, it won’t work. which could not be done because “Hamon” was made. The reality is that sometimes you win with a movie.
He continued: “If Maryam Palizban had not come through the door to audition in the movie “Deep Breath”, “Deep Breath” would not have been the way it is now, and the same is true of its other actors. Some things happen and cannot be predicted. It’s the same in filmmaking, sometimes you do everything right but it doesn’t turn out well and you don’t know why. However, I don’t want to say that the movie “Deep Breath” is not popular for me, but I like “Darband” very much.
