According to Khabaronline news agency, the documentaries of the 18th Iranian International Documentary Film Festival “Cinema-Ghekrit” were screened in different provinces and cities after the event. Saifullah Samadian, a well-known photographer and documentary maker, held a “one-man documentary” workshop in Abadan. This workshop was held with the welcome of cinema lovers, and the screening of selected works was also well received by the art-loving people of Abadan.

Farshad Fedayian, a leading documentary maker and a reliable face of documentary cinema, held a training workshop in Babylon and talked about the reality and truth and its challenges in documentary cinema. Cinema lovers of Mazandaran province also welcomed this interesting workshop. In this workshop, Nader Moghaddis, the cinema director who manages the “Art and Experience” cinema of this city, expressed his hope that such screenings will continue until Art cinema and documentaries should reach the provinces and not all cinemas should be dominated by comedies. Fereydoun Jirani also sat down to watch documentary works in “Art and Experience” cinema in Babol and considered the showing of these works in the provinces to be a remarkable act.

The 18th International Iranian Documentary Film Festival “Cinema-Ghekrit” was a record-breaker with more than 14,000 spectators in the national section, and many of the works of this period achieved great reviews. The screening of the selected works of the festival in the provinces, which was done by the Center for the Development of Documentary, Experimental and Animated Cinema with the performance of the “Art and Experience” film group, was a response to the need of provincial cinema lovers to watch these works.
