Seyyed Javad Hashemi’s complaints about injustice in cinema advertisements

Trust cinema – The director of “City of Cats 2”, who released this film for children and teenagers some time ago, in an interview with Isna, pointing out that the sales of his film have exceeded eight billion tomans, stated: “We expect sales from this.” The number was higher, of course, the recent events affected the sales of all films, but above all, what causes annoyance and dissatisfaction with the situation is the injustice in the way children’s films are viewed.

Hashemi continued: These days, apart from “City of Cats 2”, another movie for children is being released, and it is interesting that only the image of this movie can be seen at the top of all cinemas, and “City of Cats” does not even have a billboard. Television also broadcasts the teasers of this film widely, and what is more strange is that education is also provided by this film. It is really questionable whether the others are not working? What kind of support is this? If the breath of private cinema is going to be cut off, this will definitely happen if this process continues.

Criticizing that this support for a film is done in a situation where it is pretended that the work belongs to the private sector, but in reality it is not, he added: How is it that all the elements are provided to a film so that it can be sold? These conditions of competition are not equal at all, and when the competition is not healthy, private cinema will fall; As I have already said, I personally have no hope of making a new film.

In response to the question of whether it would be possible to make arrangements so that all children’s and youth films being screened at the same time as the Children’s Film Festival in Isfahan have different conditions for promotion and screening in different cities, he said: “I don’t think there is any desire to support and even Now, a circular has been issued in working schools so that only one specific movie will be given priority for students to watch movies. While all the movies are licensed by the Ministry of Education, schools can choose a movie for their children to watch, but why should a directive be issued for a movie?

Hashemi emphasized: I do not claim that the movie “City of Cats 2” is very successful in the field of children’s cinema, and maybe other movies are better than it, but I am just happy that the children who watch my movie go to the cinema for the second and third time. They’re coming back and I know Cat Town has been a hit with the kids. For this reason, the most important question that remains for me in this situation is where is the justice?

In another part of this conversation, he talked about the fourth series of “Expulsions” that Masoud Dehnamaki is planning to make, and in response, he asked if he would act in this movie. He said: “I have not been discussed in this regard, but I have heard that the role I played before in “Expulsions” exists in the new scenario.

According to ISNA, Masoud Dehnamaki plans to make a new film after about 6 years, and this summer he applied for a production license for “Ejectors 4” and received the license from the Cinema Organization at the end of August.

Also in the movie “City of Cats 2” written and directed by Seyyed Javad Hashemi, Alireza Khamse, Farhad Ayish, Yusuf Timuri, Maryam Saadat, Mirtaher Mazloumi, Dariush Mawafaq, Elika Abdul Razzaghi, Reza Banafshekhah, Mohammad Hadi Atai, Amir Ghafarmanesh, Amin Zandaghani. and Nyusha Dighmi have played.
