45-year-old cinema director and documentary maker Shahrab Mirab-Aghdam died of cardiac arrest.

Baharak Jantmekan, the wife of this director, confirmed this news in an interview with IRNA and said: We recently found out that he has a liver disease. Although we knew that there is no cure for his disease, the doctors said that he would live for a few years.

He added: His illness did not require surgery or hospitalization; He only had to observe a little to control his health condition, but this morning suddenly his condition became unfavorable and his heart stopped working.

The director’s wife continued: His death certificate was issued this morning and his body was taken to the morgue. His body is supposed to be buried in the artists’ plot of Behesht Zahra, but we still do not know the exact time of his burial.
