Trust cinema – Sirus Hemti, the writer, actor and director of theater and cinema, told Mehr reporter about his latest activity: When the TV broadcasted the news with the headline “The biggest robbery in the capital” about the theft from the safe deposit box of one of the banks and I followed the domestic and foreign news in this regard. I saw that this incident can be the subject of a movie and series because it has many hidden and visible angles. We chatted with Amirhossein Falahatinejad, one of my dear friends, who is also my advisor, and the motivation to write a poem called “The Fund” was formed.
He continued: I wrote the script for “The Box” and registered it in the script bank of Cinema House a month ago. A 6-part mini-series can be made from this script. Besides, I have submitted the script to one of the publishers for printing.
Hemmati explained about the “Fund” issue: This script is about two young men who are currently in prison and have not yet been sentenced. From the news and documentaries that were aired, I was able to find out the story, which is not a hoax at all, and is based on an open view of a real event. I was about 25% faithful to the whole story and I changed the work from documentary and real to dramatic and artistic.
He said about the status of the production of the movie “Box”, he said: I talked with Manouchehr Hadi about the production of the film and sent the script to Ali Oji. Conversations have also been held with loved ones such as Ali Ledni, Dariush Babaiyan and the Aghagolyan brothers. I hope this will be my first feature film or series.
This cinema and theater artist stated that he has made 4 short films that have received attention in domestic and foreign events, and expressed his hope that “The Box” will be made as the first feature film or series directed by him.
Hemti also mentioned about his theatrical activities: “Crocodile” show in Iranshahr theater, we read the play and after that we started rehearsing for the stage performance. Before the work could be reviewed, 2 good actors who were present in this show had to leave the rehearsals due to being involved in video projects. Of course, I give them the right because the salary we were supposed to pay them as a servant or producer is not comparable to the salary they receive in the picture.
He continued: I was supposed to perform the play “Crocodile” or “Alligator” in December of this year in the Chaharsoi hall of the Shahr Theater complex, but neither the actors nor myself could prepare for this time and I requested that the performance be postponed.
This actor and theater director stated at the end of his speech: I heard that financial assistance is not paid to theater groups unless the text is customized. Publicly, the Performing Arts Association does not provide financial aid, or at least I did not receive financial aid. Of course, it was not like this before Corona, but it seems that there is no news of allowances anymore. Unfortunately, the financial part of the theater has become a subject and the artistic form of the work is sacrificed to the financial aspect.
