Etamad Cinema, “Anita, Missing in the News” participates in three prominent film competitions.
According to public relations, the animated documentary “Anita, Lost in the News” by Behzad Nalbandi has been accepted in three international festivals and competes with works from different countries in the competition section.
Festival in Darmstadt, Germany October 8-11, America’s Coldillera Festival from October 5-10 and Taiwan’s Kaohsiung Short Film Festival from October 15-25, 1403 will be held and are the future destination of “Anita, Missing in the News”.
In the months of August and September 1403, this film was also present at the 46th Outdoor Film Festival in Witterstadt, Germany and the 6th Anima Doc Lodz Film Festival in Poland.
This 17-minute film is a new work by Behzad Nalbandi, whose previous work titled “Torn Papers” was present in world and Iranian film festivals and won awards.
The synopsis of the film says: “On November 5, 2019, an inflatable boat leaves the coast of Dunkirk, France, to bring 19 illegal immigrants to England, but it capsizes after a few minutes. Seven immigrants drown in the English Channel, five of them were a Kurdish-Iranian family called Irannejad, who went on this difficult journey in the hope of a better life, and this film is about that family.
The actors of the animated film “Anita, Lost in the News” include sound designer: Ansieh Maleki, composer: Mostafa Mahmoudi, writer, director, editor, animator and producer: Behzad Naalbandi, public relations manager: Naghmeh Danesh Ashtiani, international distribution: Independent Company Iranian directed by Mohammad Atbaei.
