According to the Public Relations and Information Center of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Seyyed Abbas Salehi, the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, accompanied by Mohammad Sadeq Motadian, the Governor of Tehran, Raed Faridzadeh, the head of the Cinema Organization, and Niknam Hosseinipour, the advisor to the Minister and the head of the Public Relations and Information Center of the Ministry of Culture. and Ershad Eslami, by attending the home of Varozh Karim Meshii, a prominent and well-known director, screenwriter and editor, met with this artist and congratulated him and his family on the New Year.
This meeting was held in a warm and sincere atmosphere, and the main part of it was spent expressing Karim Masihi’s memories of years of efforts to elevate Iranian cinema.
Seyyed Abbas Salehi, while congratulating the new year, inquired about the health and well-being of Waroj Karim Masihi.
Referring to the distinguished history of this artist, he reminded of his influential role in the excellence of Iranian cinema.
In the following, the Minister of Culture explained to the Governor of Tehran some of the moral and humanitarian characteristics of Varozh Karim Meshii and discussed the important role of the Armenian community in the formation and development of Iranian cinema.
In this meeting, Varozh Karim Masihi also mentioned his memories of his youth and spoke about his decision to abandon his studies in the field of medicine and enter the world of theater and cinema.
He spoke frankly about the current challenges of the cinema and the home theater network, including astronomical salaries and some incorrect procedures, and requested the Minister of Culture to make decisions in these areas before it’s too late.
He then recounted memories of his relationship with Bahram Baizai, which showed the depth of their friendship, and of course he said that this relationship has been maintained despite all the distances and recently, his children saw a play by Baizai in America.
