The death of an actor at the age of 80


Trust cinema Emilio Echevarria, a veteran actor of Mexican cinema and theater, died at the age of 80.

Emilio Echevarria was known internationally for his role in the films “Babel” and “Dog’s Love” by famous Mexican director Iñárritu, as well as the film “Die Another Day” from the James Bond series.

The Mexican Academy of Cinematic Arts and Sciences (AMACC) did not provide further details about the actor’s death.

According to Isna’s report from Screen, Echvarya started his acting career in 1978 in the theater. His early film roles came in the 1980s, and he became best known for his role as the vagabond El Chivo in the 2000 Oscar-nominated drama Dog Love. He went on to star in the films “And Your Mother” by Alfonso Cuarón, “Babel” by Iñárritu, “Die Another Day” in 2002 from the James Bond series and “The Alamo” in 2004.

Among his recent films, Mexican thrillers “The Chosen One” and “The Thousand-Headed Monster” can be mentioned. He recently starred on television in several episodes of the Amazon Prime series “Mozart in the Jungle.”

Emilio Echevarria was nominated for three Mexican Cinema Awards (Ariel) during his career.
