According to Khabaronline news agency, citing the public relations of the Center for the Development of Documentary, Experimental and Animated Cinema, on Monday, January 13th, Palestinian filmmaker Abdullah Motan, who recently participated in the 18th “Truth Cinema” festival with the documentary “Delayed Extradition”, was planning to go to Jordan and Then he traveled to the United Arab Emirates, but was arrested by the police of the occupying Quds regime.
He is currently under arrest and will probably be imprisoned for six months without trial. The documentary “Delayed Extradition” by Abdullah Motan, which was screened in the international section of the 18th Iran Documentary Film Festival “Cinema-Hegherit”, won a special prize from the jury of the Gaza section, including a cash prize, a statue and a plaque of honor.
Motan was absent from the closing ceremony due to the prevailing conditions in Palestine and Gaza, but in a note addressed to the festival organizers, he wrote: “Thank you for honoring the story of the martyrs, prisoners and their families in Palestine, I wish I could attend the closing ceremony. It was there for me.”
