Trust cinema Fakhrulsadat Mohtashmipour, the wife of Mustafa Tajzadeh, a political activist in Darband, wrote a note to Rakhshan Bani Etemad and his recent sidelines.
The text of this article states:
For their beauty and rain
Hello Rakhshanjan
How should I start this letter for you?
It’s easy to say that the curtain of tears covering my eyes has prevented me from writing, but I have written a lot with crying eyes and it seems that the tears have always made my writings from my pain clearer and more readable.
My dear sister
How grateful I am to our dear friend, Firouzejan Saber, who reminded us in the Entrepreneur Women’s Association; Rakhshan Bani-Etamad is a cultural entrepreneur whose life and activities should be a role model for the suffering and confused girls of our time! But in that conference (Women’s Cultural Entrepreneurship – Tehran 2006) you preferred to be a judge and not an entrepreneur case.
And what a conference it was with the help and cooperation of great people such as Ravanshad Toran Mirhadi and Zindayad Shahla Lahiji and you and Zindayad Professor Nasser Vaziri and others and what pure examples we introduced to our audience.
My dear friend
What an honor it was for me to get to know you better and better understand your works, and how sad your anger was with cinema when your art was not appreciated, and how quickly you reconciled when you saw the appreciation of art-loving people. And what was the success of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs to criticize you under the pretext of your birthday and describing your valuable activities. How proud we are of you.
My kind sister
But I got to know a different face in the bitter and difficult days after the 1988 elections. Those days when you were with us with your heart and soul and you considered our pain as your pain. He remembers well those iftars under Yadgar Bridge, in front of Evin, when you would come and sit next to us with a small chair, you would forget the pain of your knees and you would be a fellow sufferer of the oppressed that Mola Ali, the martyr of justice, in his time to protect and uphold the rights of Anani Jan gave And how hopeful your warm presence was for the mothers and fathers of the prisoners of the Jor system and the wives and children of the freed ones.
Rokshan Jan
Many times, I witnessed your warm tears, kind lady, that flowed from your clear-sighted eyes in the face of every bad and life-threatening news of those unfortunate days, and when we cried in each other’s arms at the peak of empathy, it wet my cheek. And every time I spoke to my wife about these sympathies and about the sacrifices of the companions, who were trying with all their heart and soul to strengthen the foothold of the besieged and imprisoned free people, she reminded me that “as long as there are these people, Iran will not be destroyed and will remain!”
The dignified lady of Iranian cinema!
That day when I invited you to the Nowruz meeting of the Women Entrepreneurs Association, your sad voice hurt me so much that the painful message of banning Baranjan and Haniejan and your other artist daughters from working as a motherly concern hurt my heart so much that I didn’t know what to say for a while. But it’s good that you came and in the same short time, a smile came to your face in an entrepreneurial atmosphere. That day, you asked your friends not to take pictures of you, who did not wear the obligatory hijab. The other day, when I invited you to give a speech at Shahla Lahiji’s memorial service, you apologized and said that I don’t want my photo to be taken and published.
✅ You knew very well that the owners of small rusty brains see those silver threads of your respectability more and more than your great thoughts and honorable works and paint them with rotten thoughts. And you wanted to stay away from the sidelines in order to preserve and protect the position of the culture and art of dear Iran, unaware of the fact that the petrified people are sneaking through every hole to hunt moments and blacken their record of shameful deeds.
Our concerned cultural entrepreneur
Now that the wheel of our times has turned and this time an honest doctor has stepped into the arena of power and made promises to treat painful pains so that human dignity is respected and human dignity is respected and the rights of citizens are respected, we patiently hope that all past mistakes will be resolved by stopping instructions and deadlines. And wrong and unjust rulings and their consequences should be compensated.
Otherwise, informed citizens and awake public opinion will raise many questions without stopping, which will not escape the logical and sensible answer. And may God make the promises of truth come true soon.
✅ Hug and kiss Baranjan on our behalf and say that Iran belongs to us. Of all the Iranians.
And hope is the seed of our identity.
