To enter the cinema, be careful not to be deceived

cinema trust Cinema Museum, in continuation of its series of oral history programs on the occasion of the birthday of “Hassan Rezaei”, a veteran cinema actor, has published parts of this artist’s conversation, which you can read below.

According to the public relations of the cinema museum, Hasan Rezaei, a veteran actor of cinema, said: If art is in the essence of man and his favorite, he can never leave it and will be with it for the rest of his life.

He continued: Those who intend to enter cinema for the sake of earning should not do so because they will not progress. Having a personal goal is very important for people active in cinema, and I suggest to young people that if they intend to become actors, they should pay attention to the wishes of their audience.

Saying that he got many ideas from black game, Rezaei said: Part of the current humor in me comes from ancient Iranian art. When we were young, we lived in Ray Street, an area that gave many actors and directors to the society, including Mr. Masoud Kimiaei, Faramarz Al-Khorakan, Hossein Zandbaf, etc. among these people.

Referring to his collaboration with Kianoush Ayari, he said: The presence of Kianoush Ayari is like a university for the young generation, and being precise in his way of working can have many lessons for those interested in cinema. When he directed the films “Shabh Kazhdam” and “Abadani”, many people became interested in cinema and suddenly the number of filmmakers increased.

Rezaei stated that the photo on the poster of the Abadani film originated from his idea, and noted: I remember I asked Reza Rakhshan, the photographer of this film, to record it, and the same photo of the three people became the movie poster. I remember Abbas Kiarostami told me one day that many people bought this poster at the Locarno festival, and this was a great honor for me.

He noted: In a scene from the movie “Ghost of the Scorpion”, when I went to the area outside the cabin, suddenly the electricity went out and I stopped in a valley, 9 meters from the ground! After the electricity came, I jumped down from a distance of several meters, while moving and without balance. This work required a lot of risk-taking power and courage.

This veteran actor said: People who want to enter the artistic activity should be very careful not to deceive anyone. They should trust only successful and skilled people in this profession and this is a very important issue. In this profession, people make promises that they do not keep, and we must pay attention to this issue. Also, an artist must have the essence and inherent talent of this profession in order to gain a position. He needs to have sufficient knowledge about this space and increase his scientific literacy.

In the end, Rezaei said: People have always been kind to me, and I am also interested in Iranian society, and this feeling will last until the day I live.
